We're getting bigger!

Politoward is now part of a wider path toward university campus sustainability.

Politecnico di Torino (PoliTO) aims to develop a Sustainable Campus model, addressing global challenges through solutions in harmony with nature, technology and humans, leveraging on collective knowledge. Innovations in University governance, integrated environmental educationin curricula and communication, optimization of buildings environmental performance: all valuable grounds to test sustainable solutions both locally and globally and to grow professionals able to drive the change toward a more sustainable future.

This Sustainable Campus model is supported by a group of professors, administrative staff, researchers and students, named Green Team, that strives to disseminate sustainability values in PoliTO daily activities. The Green Team goal is to expand the local impact of current best practices, and to make them accessible for both PoliTO and other institutions, in Italy and in the world.

A crooked line connecting the points - Sustainable Path - is the logo chosen by PoliTO to brand its sustainable initiatives: starting from the ones developed in the Living Lab and in the departments in the last decade, PoliTO aims to design a common path. We therefore need to share with our community a number of subjects having a critical impact on the University strategy. To transform the way we take decisions on campus and the vision of our role in society, a series of action fields has been defined: Energy and Buildings, Mobility and Transport, Urban Outreach, Food, Water and Waste, and Green Procurement.
