THIS IS AN INTERNAL SEMINAR TO GIVE DESIGN INSIGHTS FOR ASPIRANT ARCHITECTS WITHIN THE II DESIGN UNIT "01QLYPQ - ARCHITECTURE AND URBAN ECONOMICS".
In the "Architettura e Città" course, students should elaborate a smart high-quality design and sustainable urban development project, starting from specific knowledge and competence in four complementary fields: the architectural composition, the economic evaluation of development projects, the management of urban processes and the social awareness. The seminar will focus on tricky energy issues related to the design and the dimensioning of a thermal plant for a complex urban environment, as well as trade-offs between environmental impacts, life cycle assessments, aesthetic and economic criteria regarding building features.
